Hey Everyone,
The first CLUBSCENE podcast featuring Aaron Colom (Paul Delduca), Adriano Valentini (director) and myself (webmaster) is officially up and online! Check it out here.
We don’t script our podcasts (obviously?) and so they often go into strange directions and conversations. Allow me an opportunity to explain this craigslist business.
So there was a story a while back about a guy who tried to sell his kid on craigslist for $5000, and I felt that that was pretty insane. I mean, come on… I know you can pretty much sell anything nowadays but your son? Really? I know people sell their old underwear, broken electronics, and random garbage online all the time but there must come a point in which sanity clicks in. Hearing this story almost made me lose faith in pretty much everything. Yes, the police were all over it and he got arrested… but still, it doesn’t make the fact that someone actually tried to sell their kid online go away.
Anyways, you must be wondering what this has to do with CLUBSCENE. To be honest, the tie-in is questionable at it’s very best. Upon hearing this story, I ventured into Craigslist to see what I could find. And man, I was shocked. Go on Craigslist on a Saturday afternoon and look at all the posts made about that Friday night. Posts along the lines of, “HOT BROAD FROM LEVEL LAST NIGHT CALL ME (ITS MARK)” and “erica from hess i lost your number plz call me!!!1!” are abound. Reading through them makes you laugh just as much as it makes you cry. Also, it’s worth mentioning that I decided NOT to link any of these posts to this blog because I simply don’t want to encourage such behaviour. But then again, I have already got you thinking about checking out Craigslist, haven’t I?
